The myths
How are myths born? Yes - by mating, for example, the knowledge of everyday secrets with rused intelligence contained in the magic craftmanship of art. If you're lucky, something supernatural is born which reveals the most important truths; the unexpected. Thes truths are called myths.
Maj-Siri Österling
has, for a long time been making images and worlds of such truths. Do old reindeer hides brought again to life retell the forgotten sagas? Do particular formations of islets, of water courses or perhaps melodies of colour construct other knowledge not dreamt of?
Yes, she has used many different motifs to create artistic and cosmic codes - but so clear that they help us to decipher our own secrets. ..
Let full play to the forms and colours of Maj-Siri and open your heart. But be forewarned - this is the birth of myth
- if you want it to be.
