The river
Veikko Haakana Finland

Torne river has been my main subject for a long time. The Finnish poet Veikko Haakana, who lives in the north of Finland, has written numerous poems about rivers and water. We have known each other for many years, and so it was natural to ask him to choose some of his poems for my next artist's book. He sent me some thirty poems, of which I selected seven. These were translated into Swedish and French.
"Älven" contains seven serigraphs; 60 signed copies were printed. Each cover was hand painted. Format: 24x33 cm
Brigitte Rax, is a publisher who lives in Sauve. She designed "Eldtrummorna" (Drums of Fire). Together we carefully chose the paper for the pictures, the text and the cover.
